Caravans and motorhomes at the Dumaresq River Camping Spot
The camping area near the bridge is a great spot for camping and is popular with caravanners and motorhomes. Free hot showers are available in the centre of town at the public toilets. Texas also has a variety of accommodation options including a motel, hotel, guest house, van park and camping grounds.

Texas is the ideal centralised holiday spot for travellers to discover the variety of interesting attractions that the area has to offer. On the eastern end of the Goondiwindi Regional Council, Texas is only an hours drive from Goondiwindi and all that it offers. Ashford NSW is only a short drive away and offers many unique natural attractions including the Severn and MacIntyre Rivers, Pindari Dam, Kwiambal National Park which includes the Limestone Caves and the MacIntyre Falls. Girraween National Park is also a great day trip with its huge granite boulders and wildflowers in spring. Sundown National Park entices self-sufficient campers and experienced bushwalkers with its rugged ridges and gorges. Both National Parks are great for a day trip from Texas. There is also a number of great National Parks in New South Wales that are ideal for day trips from Texas.
