An enquiry recently came through the website about a reserve a bit closer to Goondiwindi.  However, whilst looking for directions to this reserve stumbled upon this great canoeing site called Upstream Paddle.  It contains a canoeing guidebook for Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales, safety information, news and updates for rivers and creeks in the area.  It has a great section on the Dumaresq River with info on distances, river depths, obstacles, the weirs and reserves, and camping info close to the river.  It is well worth a look at if interested in canoeing/kayaking etc or just some general info on the river and its weirs and reserves.
